Purpose: Responsible for day to day leadership activities involved in the leadership of a team of clinical professionals.  Leads and/or participates in the implementation of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and improvement initiatives


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinates work flow, schedules and work priorities of those supervised.

  2. Supervises day to day activities of clinic staff: including performance improvement coaching, disciplinary actions and annual reviews. Monitors and approves e-time for accuracy.

  3. Regularly tracks each staff member’s patient care time, assuring optimal accountability. Regularly audits patient care notes and charges for accuracy. Coaches staff who are not meeting department targets: promoting efficiency through education and continuous improvement process.

  4. In conjunction with manager, or as assigned by manager, handles patient or staff complaints and performs safety investigations as requested.

  5. Performs service recovery to promote patient and employee satisfaction.

  6. Coaches staff in service excellence, teamwork, communication, dependability, and professionalism. 

  7. Orients new hires. Provides on-the-job training where necessary, assures completion of discipline specific competencies and identifies staff training opportunities.

  8. Solicits staff need for supplies, equipment and other resources (all within approved budget).

  9. Functions as a conduit of information between leadership and staff. Solicits meeting agenda items from staff and leads discipline’s monthly meetings.

  10. Meets regularly with all levels of the team to share information and collaborate on challenges.

  11. Performs other duties as assigned 



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent of education and experience required.

  • 2 years of supervisory experience.

  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, oral and written skills. 

  • Ability to relate effectively with all levels of clinicians, administrative staff and the general public.
