Cardiovascular Medicine Hospitalist

The Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, in conjunction with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, is seeking a hospitalist to manage inpatients on the intermediate cardiovascular care unit. The successful candidate will be BC in Internal Medicine with an interest in cardiovascular medicine.

Patient care activities will be primarily overnight coverage in collaboration with internal medicine residents, cardiology fellows and attending cardiologists. The functions of the cardiovascular medicine hospitalist will include urgent care for patients already admitted as well as the evaluation of new admissions to the cardiology service with performance of appropriate histories, physicals, plans of care and order writing. The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with our clinical faculty and referring physicians.

Further, there will be opportunities for engagement in stress testing, outpatient clinic, and other aspects of cardiovascular specialty practice, including research and teaching. The DHMC Cardiovascular Medicine program has more than 30 faculty members, 20 clinical and research fellows, and boasts state-of-the-art facilities in a scenic, four-season setting.

An academic appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine will be requested, commensurate with experience.
