Primary responsibilities include SAS administration/development of SAS Viya & Enterprise Guide in a Linux environment. Duties include monitoring/analyzing logs, setting up user security, folders and libraries, server side administration, performance evaluation and tuning. Communicate and train Data Analysts on best coding practices.
 
Develops data solutions for the enterprise as a member of a Data Warehousing team. Solutions range from database reporting from SQLServer and Oracle data sources, ETL processes, datamart creation and improvements and infrastructure development in support of self-service reporting tools. Reporting to the Data Warehouse Director, leads midsize projects and collaborates with data architects and analysts on more complex projects. Good oral and written communication skills needed to facilitate work with customers, including defining reporting needs, developing, documenting and sharing output. Experience in health care data and analytics, particularly Epic Clarity data, is a huge plus. Must be willing to explore and learn new tools and workflows in a constantly developing environment.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  1. Works in a data warehouse environment which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation.
  2. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced team members.
  3. Reviews data loaded into the data warehouse for accuracy.
  4. Assists in the development, maintenance, and support of the D-H enterprise data warehouse system and corresponding data marts.
  5. Troubleshoots, tunes and enhances existing data warehouse applications.
  6. Conducts research into new data warehouse applications and determines viability for adoption.
  7. Assists in establishing development standards.
  8. Evaluates existing subject areas stored in the data warehouse.
  9. Incorporates existing subject areas into an enterprise model.
  10. Creates new or enhanced components of the data warehouse.
  11. Responsible for creating complex database reports based on the needs of end users.
  12. Participates in the design, development and documentation of the reporting systems.
  13. Strong project management skills, initiative, and the ability to handle meetings with all levels of management.
  14. Strong understanding of the healthcare data environment, security and clinical and business workflows.
  15. Works independently to carry out departmental and institutional initiatives.
  16. Collaborates well and leads within team and user groups structures.
  17. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience required. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.  
  • Expert in multiple technologies or system/applications.
  • Ability and desire to learn and master new technologies
