Responsibilities: A listing of the key responsibilities
- Supports and coordinates a wide scope of concurrent projects throughout the D-H system by utilizing and modeling effective project management tools.
- Performs project coordination and documentation management responsibilities to include project plans and status updates.
- Supports initiatives targeted to improve processes.
- Works with leadership to understand, identify and prioritize need for improvement resources.
- Promotes and supports achieving excellence initiatives, patient and family focused skills training, and measurement concepts in all settings.
- Develops and maintains a system which coordinates all departmental management projects.
- Provides administrative support to the department to coordinate and facilitate departmental operations. Acts as a resource for departmental issues as they arise, making proposals and recommendations for resolution.
- Screens and assigns priority correspondence, requests and inquiries. Assumes responsibility for appointment scheduling, meeting arrangements, reports and maintenance of administrative files. Manages workflow in assigned area and responds to inquiries from other departments as to the status of pending requests of projects.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Associates degree with 3 years of project/program management or the equivalent in related work experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must obtain Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s (D-H) Yellowbelt Certification within 1 year of hire.
- Proven success in positions employing project management skills essential.
- Experience in the concepts and applications of quality improvement and systems thinking required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, assess priorities and organize workload.
- Must possess a high level of computer literacy and demonstrated knowledge and expertise in using tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio (flow charting), and project management software such as MS Project.
