  1. Responsible for clinical duties such as taking vital signs, multiple extremity blood pressures, administering injections, performing simple diagnostic tests, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site.  This position prepares patient charts prior to clinic and monitors in-baskets for prior authorization for testing, medication, etc.  This position works in conjunction with a number of other pediatric specialty departments with opportunity to cross train across several specialties.
    Prepares patient charts for following clinic
    Performs urinalysis testing as ordered by providers
    Monitors in basket messages for prior authorization and other patient needs
    Prepares patient, room, and equipment for procedures and exams
    Ensures examination rooms are properly stocked and cleaned
    Takes and records vital signs.  Informs provider of patient vital signs and concerns
    Recognizes and treats emergency patients as a priority, assists with patient examinations and treatments.
    Performs other duties as required or assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required. 
  • Previous experience in office or outpatient ambulatory care setting strongly preferred.  
  • Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work well as a member of a team. 
  • Computer skills strongly preferred. 
  • Must be willing and able to participate in evening, weekend, and holiday coverage according to needs of the department.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
  • American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA) certified - CMA designation OR American Medical Technologists (AMT) registered – RMA designation OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant plus 12 month D-H apprenticeship program – CCMA designation.
  • Current BLS certification required. 
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Currently Registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians
