Performs a broad array of Radiology administrative functions to support the Radiology Service Line across the Dartmouth-Hitchcock D-H system.  Functions include registration, scheduling, Information Systems (IT) support and digital and analog image management.  Responsible for all Radiology release of information (ROI) requests in compliance with D-HH policies, state and federal regulations.
 
Responsibilities: A listing of the key responsibilities:
  1. Independently coordinates, fulfills, monitors, and prioritizes work lists, from multiple sources (e.g. phone, in-person, and technology), using various systems to ensure timely an accurate information delivery for high quality patient care.
  2. Proactively identifies, troubleshoots, triages problems (e.g. technology, work lists, patient information, etc.) and provides documents solutions, following standard protocols, to continuously improve Imaging processes.
  3. Provides front-line customer service to stakeholders (e.g. greeting, directing, registering, sharing relevant information / documentation, etc.) in accordance with team and organizational guidelines to ensure D-H is capturing critical information while honoring Federal and State regulations.
  4. Uses imaging and technology expertise (e.g. Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS), etc.) to facilitate accurate and timely interpretation and dissemination of imaging studies.  Acts as a coach to other users of imaging throughout the system to facilitate optimal patient care and transitions.
  5. Facilitates the clinical communication between Radiologists and ordering providers to ensure clinical practice and American College of Radiology guidelines are met.
  6. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in computer science or related study preferred.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Resourcefulness.
  • High level of accuracy with strict attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work as a member of a high functioning team and independently as required.
  • Must be comfortable working in a high-volume, face paced environment.
  • Technical aptitude.
