This position does not involve Personnel Management but instead the incumbent is responsible for working with the Manager of Research Programs on the Administration of Grants.

 

40hours/week - Psych Research

Lebanon, NH

 

Responsible for the financial management and maintenance of grants.  Assists in the establishment and maintenance of grant budgets and grant planning.  Be the institution’s primary source of grant administration expertise and compliance.  Assist operational areas in identifying and managing grants from Federal, State, local, and private sources.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the application process and ongoing financial and operational reporting of grants awarded, sub-awarded or contracted to the organization, taking the lead and primary responsibility for grant accounting.
  2. Develop and maintain familiarity and knowledge of the reporting requirements for all grants, especially those Federal and State sourced, taking responsibility in concert with Corporate Finance, for the annual A-133 audit process.
  3. Manage and maintain positive relationships with the federal grant and other fund sponsors. 
  4. Establish and maintain a positive relationship of trust and integrity with grant personnel, specifically the Principal Investigators, Medical and/or Program Directors.
  5. Build and support cross-functional grant processes, working primarily with Corporate Finance to develop and establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all grant requirements. 
  6. Establish a process to centralize and intercept all the institution’s grant applications.
  7. Analyze and develop analytical tools to show capacity to grow within the organization.
  8. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business with 3 years of experience in contract/grant management or financial accounting experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Fundamental knowledge of grant budgeting and analysis, including the ability to develop and maintain detailed grant budgets
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Excel required.  Prior experience in MS Access and PowerPoint and an understanding of business process and organizational behavior preferred
