What our patients are saying:

“ I was a patient on 1E from (2018). During my hospitalization, I received outstanding nursing care from your staff. This included all the RN’s and LNA’s”

“I was always treated with compassion, knowledge, and a commitment to doing the best for me. The other item worth noting is the team work that was exhibited. This is a rare find in hospitals today.. My heartfelt thank you to everyone. Each of you made a difficult situation a bit easier”.”

“I have never felt so cared for, and so listened to as a patient. I have never understood better what was my job and what was their job. They were on top of everything.”

“They exhibited patience and calm the whole time. I do have to say that absolutely everyone I dealt with this visit was perfect”.

Medical Specialties 1 East is a 36-bed unit that cares for complex medical patients.  It is also home to the region's leading Cystic Fibrosis Program.  Our patient population is varied and challenging, and our nurse-to-patient ratios are very attractive with 24-hour nursing assistant support.

As a member of the Medical Specialties team you will assess, plan, organize, provide and evaluate nursing care utilizing the nursing process.  In addition, you will make nursing judgments and decisions and will be responsible for nursing care and documentation.  We use a shared (team/self) scheduling model to coordinate schedules which include 12-hour shifts.  If you enjoy working with a diverse spectrum of patients and want to be part of a resource-rich and supportive unit then apply today!
