  NEUROSCIENCE UNIT

We have recently increased our wage ranges for Clinical Nurses throughout our system!

Our Neuroscience unit is a 21-bed general med/surg unit.  The primary patient population includes neurology and ENT patients.

We provide specialized nursing care for patients with strokes, epilepsy, brain and/or spinal cord tumors and injuries, movement disorders, laryngectomies and tracheotomies and our epilepsy program is one of the largest in New England.

We also offer the opportunity to cross-train in our 10-bed Neuro Special Care Unit, a progressive care unit that specializes in higher-acuity patients.  It's a great way to continue your pathway into critical care.

Our units have a diverse patient population which provides an excellent learning environment to build or maintain a foundation for continued professional growth. We have a team approach and have a very active shared governance and practice area council.  With the support of the Clinical Nurse Supervisors and Clinical Nurse Educator, we provide a Neuro-specific learning environment for initial and continuous professional development with opportunities to cross-train among the Neuro units (Neuro, Neuro Special Care and the Neurocritical Care Unit).
